About Me

With nearly three decades in corporate communications and writing, I’ve helped organizations of every size — from global brands to grassroots non-profits — communicate with clarity, confidence and impact.

Over the years, my work has supported clients in achieving their strategic and business goals through smart communications planning and materials that inform, engage, and inspire action across a wide variety of stakeholders, including employees, customers, investors, government bodies, media and the general public.

Early in my career, I led communications for a national clothing designer and manufacturer, followed by a British Columbia product stewardship program.

Later, I served as senior strategist with a leading Vancouver public relations firm, providing communications counsel and managing communications for organizations that included Molson, TELUS, TransLink, Purdy’s Chocolates, the Department of Canadian Heritage, Haywood Securities and others.

In 2006, I launched my own communications consultancy, successfully partnering with a diverse range of clients, including the Vancouver Airport Authority, BC Hydro, Lockheed Martin, the University of British Columbia’s Go for Gold campaign, Small Business B.C., Peak Products and Kryton International.

Beyond client work, I’ve been grateful for the chance to support causes and communities that matter deeply to me, including Vancouver’s Cinderella Project, Ronald McDonald House BC/Yukon and the Albert Lowe Museum.

Recently, I’ve had the privilege of supporting my ancestral home, Abaco, Bahamas, as it rebuilds after Hurricane Dorian. I launched AbacoSun.com to connect the community and promote local businesses in the storm’s immediate aftermath, and later created Abaco Sun magazine to showcase the island’s culture, history, and resilience.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me reading, studying history and genealogy, spending time with friends, and perfecting traditional Bahamian recipes. I’m also the author of Those Who Stayed: The Tale of the Hardy Few Who Built Green Turtle Cay.
